Verdant Strata

Verdant Strata is a portrait-format abstract painting divided into two stacked fields of dense vertical striations, separated by a thin dark horizontal seam. The upper register moves through deep moss, olive, and forest greens with a darker weight toward the left and a soft yellow-green glow center-right, while the lower register lightens into sage and celadon tones with a faint cool gray-green shadow at the upper right.

Fine, deliberate brushwork and layered glazing give the surface a quiet tonal depth, suggesting ribbed foliage or woven grasses without becoming literal. Rendered in a muted green palette with charcoal-teal accents, this piece suits living rooms, bedrooms, or offices seeking a calm, earthy focal point.
